In Bishkek, at the Sverdlovsk District Court, the first online broadcast of court hearings took place, including a case related to domestic violence. The broadcast was conducted via the YouTube channel "Supreme Court".

Present at the meeting were the Deputy Head of the Supreme Court Office Aman Jumaliev and the Deputy Minister of Justice of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Aydarov, as reported by the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan.

Recall that amendments were made to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic defining the terms "video conferencing" and "online broadcast of a court hearing." Now, participants in the process, including the accused, have the right to familiarize themselves with the minutes of the hearings, as well as with audio and video recordings, and to submit comments on them. The law also allows for petitions to conduct hearings using video communication or live broadcasts — on television, radio, or via the internet.

According to the amendments, the court may, at the request of participants or on its own initiative, permit the live broadcast of court hearings to ensure the interests of justice and the safety of participants. Paragraph 18 was added to Article 46, granting participants the right to request hearings to be conducted using online broadcasting. Additionally, Part 3 of Article 280 was supplemented with Paragraph 5, which provides for the possibility of broadcasting court hearings in the media or on the internet in an online format.

Also, according to Article 290-1 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the court may permit the broadcast (online broadcast) of hearings live on television, radio, or the internet. The decision to conduct a broadcast is made by the court, taking into account the interests of justice, transparency, and the safety of participants. These measures aim to increase the transparency of the judicial process, strengthen public trust in the judicial system, as well as ensure openness and improve the legal culture of the population. They allow citizens to observe real judicial practice, discipline participants, and help reduce bureaucracy and enhance access to justice.
