The Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the launch of a pilot program that will allow for live streaming of open court sessions.

According to information from the court's press service, now anyone interested will be able to follow the workings of the country's judicial system in real time.

This project is being implemented in the context of updates made to the criminal procedure code, as well as within the framework of a policy aimed at reducing bureaucracy in the government apparatus. Video recording of hearings will begin in November 2025 and will last until December of the same year, covering various categories of cases.

The main goal of this initiative is to enhance the transparency of judicial proceedings and strengthen citizens' trust in the justice system. The broadcasts will be conducted in accordance with Article No. 290 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, at the request of participants in the process or on the initiative of the court itself. They will be available for viewing on television, radio, and the internet.

All video materials will be made publicly available on the official YouTube channel, allowing users to familiarize themselves with the actual practices of the courts.

It is important to note that video recording will be carried out in strict accordance with the law and only with the court's permission. These materials are intended solely for educational purposes; their commercial use and unauthorized distribution are strictly prohibited.

The initiative aims to increase the legal literacy of the population, prevent offenses, and expand public access to information about the workings of the judiciary.
