President Sadyr Japarov addressed the deputies with a request for joint work with the government. He made this statement at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
He noted that the work process does not always go smoothly and sometimes there are shortcomings.
“Mistakes are made not only by the parliament but also by the government. If you encounter shortcomings in the draft laws, they need to be corrected. Inform the authors, organize a discussion, and everything will fall into place. Last time, Deputy Dastan Bekeshev protested against one draft law, as a result of which one paragraph was removed. I inquired about the problem. The Minister of Internal Affairs mentioned that it was a quality draft law, and perhaps the deputy did not fully understand its essence. I suggested they explain the situation in parliament. Ultimately, Bekeshev was invited to ‘Yntymak Ordo’, and within an hour all questions were resolved. As a result, he will present this draft law for the second reading himself,” Japarov noted.
