The Cabinet transferred 6 hectares in Issyk-Kul for the construction of a substation

- The Government of Kyrgyzstan has decided to transform a land plot of 6 hectares located in the Issyk-Kul region from agricultural designation to a category for industry, transport, communications, energy, defense, and other purposes.

This transformation was recorded in Resolution No. 142, adopted on March 2, 2026.

The specified plot is located in contour No. 730, which belongs to the rural territorial administration of Chepelik in Karakol, and is state-owned. The transition to the industrial category was carried out for the purpose of constructing a substation.

The Karakol City Hall has been instructed to update land registration documents, monitor land use in accordance with its new designation, and develop and approve urban planning documents in compliance with existing construction norms and regulations.

Additionally, the resolution outlines requirements for the safe drainage of rainwater and meltwater, anti-seismic measures, and monitoring of potentially hazardous processes. If the plot is not used or is used for purposes other than intended, the city hall is obliged to take measures for its withdrawal and restoration to its original state.

Compensation for losses and lost profits related to agricultural and forestry production is also provided for, in accordance with current legislation, as well as compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards and the protection of historical and cultural heritage sites, if any are discovered. In the case of earthworks and construction activities, an archaeologist should be engaged for oversight.

The resolution will come into force ten days after its official publication.
