Elmira Torokeldi kyzy, who gave birth to six children, has become a mother of twins twice.

This mother of many children was born on August 18, 1992, in the village of Chak, located in the Chon-Alai district of the Osh region. She currently lives with her husband in the village of Kozhomkul, on the outskirts of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek.

Elmira's family has separated from her parents, as her husband is the eldest son and now lives independently.

Today, Elmira is fully immersed in caring for her children, striving to raise them as worthy, educated individuals.

In their family, there are six children: five daughters and one son, four of whom are twins.

The first twins—girls Aizhanat and Nurzhanat—were born on April 2, 2020, during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

“When we learned that we would be parents of twins, it brought us special joy. I have loved twin girls since childhood. In my village, there were twin sisters who always went to school together, and I admired that. So, when I found out that I would become a mother of twins myself, we immediately shared this joyful news with everyone,” Elmira recalls.

In her subsequent pregnancy, the doctors informed her again about twins, which initially caused surprise but soon became a source of great joy.

“When we heard that there would be twins again, it was a shock for us. We had already experienced many sleepless nights with the first twins, and all those memories came flooding back. My husband was puzzled: ‘How is this possible?’ Only when we got home did we truly rejoice, although we hadn’t told anyone until my belly became noticeable,” she remembers.

The second set of twins, Nuriya and Nurzhigit, was born on June 19, 2025. The babies are currently 9 months old and are already actively crawling.

At birth, the twins had quite good weights: Aizhanat and Nurzhanat were born weighing 3 kg 500 g and 3 kg 400 g, with a difference of 10 minutes, while Nuriya and Nurzhigit weighed 3 kg and 2 kg 900 g, with a difference of 7 minutes.

The names for the older girls were chosen by their paternal grandmother, while the parents chose the names for the younger twins themselves.

“We named our daughter Nuriya in honor of Nuriya Kunilery, the wife of a player from ‘Barcelona,’ and our son in honor of the famous Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov, wishing for him to become an educated and well-mannered person,” Elmira said.

The older twins look very similar to each other, but there are differences: one of them has fair skin, while the other has darker skin. Their personalities also differ: one is more open, while the other only interacts with close ones.

In the life of a family with twins, amusing stories occur.

“Once, when the girls were sick, I took them to the hospital. When a child is sick, as they say, a mother’s head doesn’t think straight. I carried them in one by one in the stroller, and in the end, I showed the doctor the same girl twice, while the other one I never showed. I only realized this at home by their clothes,” she laughs, recalling the incident.

Now her twin daughters attend kindergarten and are preparing to go to school this year. In their free time, they help their mother and take turns looking after the younger children.

“The twins are very curious and clever. When they go visiting or see good people on TV, they say, ‘I want to be like that.’ Modern children have big dreams: even at 5 years old, they declare that they want to study in America and become inventors,” Elmira shares.

According to Elmira, raising twins requires a great deal of patience.

“I believe that twins are given to patient and strong mothers. Carrying them, enduring sleepless nights when one gets sick and then the other too. To withstand this, God gives strength. It is a miracle of the Creator, and we always live with gratitude,” she concluded.
