On March 30, an award ceremony for the winners of the republican olympiad among schoolchildren, organized by the Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan, took place in Bishkek. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Edil Baisalov, emphasized in his address that the future of the country depends on the youth striving for knowledge. He congratulated all participants and winners of the olympiad.
“I feel both admiration and excitement being among you. In my youth, I also participated in republican olympiads. Your hard work and perseverance have led to this success,” Baisalov highlighted.
“This year, 24,000 schoolchildren from all over the country participated in the olympiad. Of these, 322 best reached the finals. Each of you is talented and deserves the title of winner. I am confident that you will be able to achieve success on the international stage, representing Kyrgyzstan,” the minister added.Kendirbaeva also thanked teachers for their work, which has been an important factor in the students' successes, and announced a salary increase for all teachers with the support of the president.
The results of the competition are as follows:
- 19 students took 1st place,
- 18 students took 2nd place,
- 17 students took 3rd place.
- 1st place — Bishkek city (21 places, 49 points),
- 2nd place — Osh city (8 places, 16 points),
- 3rd place — Chui region (7 places, 11 points).
