The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials such as the representative Amanakan Kenzhebaev, the first deputy minister of health Aibek Matkerimov, as well as local authorities, medical workers, and other officials.
As Kenzhebaev noted, in addition to updating the material and technical base, work is also underway to improve working conditions for medical staff, enhance their qualifications, and increase salaries by 100%.
During the major renovation, key departments were completely updated: "Mother and Child," the operating room, intensive care units for adults and children, the department of pregnancy pathology, centralized sterilization, the clinical diagnostic laboratory, and the outpatient diagnostic department. Additionally, a centralized oxygen station costing 3 million 855.7 thousand soms has been put into operation.
Funding for the new maternity hospital was provided from the state budget, and the total cost of constructing the two-story building amounted to 87 million 900 thousand soms. The institution is fully equipped with modern equipment, allowing for the provision of high-quality medical care to the population.
Kenzhebaev also familiarized himself with the technical equipment and infrastructure of the updated medical facility.
It should be noted that the regional maternity hospital in Osh opened its doors on April 11, 1968, and this is the first major renovation since then.
