The First Deputy Minister Familiarized Himself with the Work of the Infectious Disease Hospital in Osh
During his working trip to the Osh and Jalal-Abad regions, the First Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Aibek Matkerimov, visited the infectious diseases hospital at the Osh City Clinical Hospital.
The main objective of the visit was to study the organization of medical care for patients suffering from acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, as well as to assess the current bed occupancy in the context of increasing morbidity during the season.
During a meeting with the hospital director, Shayat Abdurakhmanov, it was reported that the hospital has 270 beds, of which 180 are designated for children and the remaining for adults. In the context of rising morbidity, an increase in patient visits is observed; however, all necessary medical assistance is provided to patients in full.
It was also noted that in recent years, due to administrative-territorial reform, the area and population of the city have significantly increased, which, in turn, creates additional pressure on medical institutions and can temporarily lead to high occupancy rates in hospitals.
Following his visit, Aibek Matkerimov made a number of recommendations. In particular, he instructed to organize the admission of adult patients in alternative departments, while maximizing the use of the infectious diseases hospital to provide assistance to children, who are the most vulnerable group during the infection season.
Additionally, it was recommended to strengthen compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards, ensure clear patient routing, stable operation of medical personnel, and quality control of the services provided.
