Medical duty shifts will be organized
The Ministry of Health has announced that in the last days of December 2025, specifically on the 30th and 31st, all medical institutions in the country will switch to an enhanced work schedule. During these days, medical personnel will be on duty, ready to provide emergency and urgent care. This will ensure the continuity of medical services, as reported by the Ministry of Health's press service.
From January 1 to January 9, 2026, during the New Year holidays, hospitals will continue to operate as usual with on-duty responsible staff. Emergency medical care will be available around the clock in these institutions, and a reserve of beds will be formed for the emergency hospitalization of patients. Additionally, the availability of necessary medications, medical supplies, and blood components will be ensured.
At the level of outpatient care, duty shifts will be organized in family medicine centers, general practice, and with family doctors from January 1 to January 9. Doctors and nurses will work from 08:00 to 18:00, and procedure rooms will be open until 14:00.
The ambulance service in Bishkek, Osh, and other regions will operate without breaks or days off. Continuous operation of air ambulance services will also be ensured, and specialists from the sanitary-epidemiological service and laboratories will be on duty during the holidays.
