In Bishkek, the second base of the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood has been fully refurbished to provide assistance to patients with acute respiratory viral infections and pneumonia. This was reported by the director of the institution, Shaiyrbek Sulaymanov.

He noted that due to the increase in morbidity across the country, 145 hospital beds have been deployed. Currently, 132 patients are receiving treatment at the facility.

“Two days ago, we admitted 40 people, of whom 30 were hospitalized. Yesterday, we received 30 new patients, 24 of whom were also hospitalized. At present, there is a slight decrease in the number of admissions. All patients are provided with necessary beds and medications, and there are no critical supply issues,” Sulaymanov added.
According to him, the main patients are individuals with acute viral infections and pneumonia. These diseases are not chronic, and the condition of most patients usually improves significantly within two to three days, allowing them to be discharged home.
The director reminded that the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood consists of two bases: the first is located on Akymbaeva Street and is designed for 190 patients, while the second is on Togolok Moldo Street. By the order of the acting Minister of Health Kanat Momunaliev, the second base has been completely cleared to accept patients with ARVI.

As of today, the institution has five departments, all of which are filled. Medical assistance is provided by the specialists of the center, and the work of the institution is under constant control of the Ministry of Health and is carried out in a regular mode.
