The Center for Maternal and Child Care Plans to Develop Bone Marrow Transplantation, Launch CAR-T Therapy, and Expand Departments
On November 24, saplings were planted on the premises of the institution in honor of children undergoing treatment for oncology.
According to Suleimanov, the NCMCH has remained a crucial medical institution for many years, restoring health and hope to children with the most complex diseases.
“Our center employs the best specialists, utilizes modern technologies, and we are sincerely dedicated to our work,” he noted.
Every day, real miracles of medicine take place here: severe diagnoses cease to be a death sentence, and families receive new chances for a full life for their children.
“Our mission is to fight for the lives of children until the very end,” he added.
Suleimanov also emphasized that significant progress has been observed in the field of pediatric oncology in Kyrgyzstan over the past few years.
“Modern laboratories for immunophenotyping and molecular diagnostics have been created and launched. Patient routing has been improved, allowing treatment to begin without delays. Modern international therapy protocols have been implemented, and conditions for drug supply and funding have been enhanced, positively impacting survival rates. For the first time, training for doctors abroad in leading clinics around the world has begun,” he explained.
Suleimanov noted that the most significant achievement is the children who have recovered and continue to grow.
The CAR-T therapy method is an innovative cancer treatment in which a patient's own immune cells (T-cells) are extracted, trained in laboratory conditions to recognize and destroy cancer cells, and then returned to the patient's body.
