According to Bolot Burabaev, the deputy chief physician for outpatient and diagnostic services at the National Center for Motherhood and Childhood Protection (NCOMiD), the foundation of preventing childhood diseases lies in a strong immune system, which is formed by three key factors: adequate sleep, balanced nutrition, and physical activity. In an interview with AKIpress, he emphasized the importance of these aspects for children's health.

Burabaev noted that a lack of variety in the diet can weaken a child's immune system. Additionally, adequate sleep, which should last at least 8-9 hours, plays a significant role in maintaining health.

In the context of outbreaks of infectious diseases, such as influenza, it is recommended to use personal protective equipment. For example, children should wear medical masks in kindergartens, schools, and public transport. In polluted environments, it is important to use filters and air purifiers to prevent bronchopulmonary diseases. The necessity of proper nutrition also significantly affects the health of the digestive system.

The deputy chief physician added that vaccination is one of the most effective ways to prevent various infectious diseases, as it helps to form herd immunity and reduces the risk of epidemics.

To reduce the likelihood of congenital developmental defects, it is extremely important to provide the future mother with comfortable conditions during pregnancy.

Burabaev also recommended conducting annual medical examinations in schools and regularly visiting a pediatrician at the place of residence. Doctors should carry out anthropometric measurements — monitoring weight, height, and overall development of children. Additionally, it is necessary to conduct tests, including a complete blood count, urine analysis, and stool tests for parasites, he added.
