According to the information from the department, cochlear implantation surgeries were performed at the National Hospital, and all procedures were successful and free of charge.
The materials for the surgeries were provided by the Qatari side, which allowed local doctors not only to assist the patients but also to improve their skills by exchanging experiences with colleagues in the field of cochlear implantation.
It was previously reported that a team of surgeons from Qatar arrived at the National Center for Maternal and Child Health (NCMCH) to perform surgeries on children with hearing impairments. A total of 64 children were selected, and the charitable mission continues.
