Additional beds and mobile clinics will be opened in Bishkek due to the rise in ARVI and influenza

In the past week, 42,500 new cases of illness have been registered in the republic

The number of ARVI and influenza cases in Kyrgyzstan continues to rise, especially in large cities such as Bishkek and Osh.

In response to this situation, Acting Minister of Health Kanbek Dosmambetov made an unscheduled visit to the City Children's Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Care (GDKB SMP) in Bishkek. The relevant information was disclosed by the Ministry of Health.

During the visit, the minister familiarized himself with the conditions in which patients are received and noted that a large number of people in one place increases the risk of illnesses. Dosmambetov ordered the establishment of a round-the-clock Situational Center based at the Ministry, which will monitor the epidemiological situation, citizen appeals, and the workload of medical institutions in real time, allowing for timely measures to be taken.

Additionally, he instructed to organize an additional 200 beds at the National Center for Maternal and Child Health and the Republican Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital through the temporary repurposing of departments.

To reduce the burden on the emergency department of the children's hospital, the acting minister proposed to send 10 pediatricians from primary medical care in Bishkek for temporary work in the hospital, as well as to deploy two mobile clinics on the territory of GDKB SMP.

It is worth noting that in the past week, 42,500 cases of ARVI and influenza have been officially registered in the republic.
