According to information published on the DW website, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced plans to sell air defense missiles to Berlin, including the naval systems Standard Missile 6 Block I and Standard Missile 2 Block IIIC. The main contractor for this deal will be the defense conglomerate RTX.
According to U.S. authorities, Germany has requested the purchase of 750 missiles of both specified types, as well as the necessary equipment for their operation.
Approval for this deal must be obtained from the U.S. Congress.
