Eight defendants in the case of the explosion on the Crimean Bridge were sentenced to life imprisonment.

The explosion on the Crimean Bridge occurred on October 8 at 6:35 AM, when a truck carrying 21 tons of explosives detonated on the roadway of the bridge. As a result of the tragedy, five people died, including the truck driver Mahir Yusupov, who, according to investigative data, was unaware of the dangerous cargo. The organizer of this terrorist act is believed to be Vasily Malyuk, the director of the Security Service of Ukraine, who is wanted.

Criminal charges for the terrorist act have been brought against Artem and Georgy Azatyan, Roman Solomko, Vladimir Zloba, and Artur Terchanyan, who were detained in Crimea, as well as Alexander Bylin, Oleg Antipov, and Dmitry Tyazhelykh, who were arrested in Moscow. All of them have been found guilty under Articles 205 and 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for committing a terrorist act and illegal trafficking in explosives. None of the eight defendants admitted their guilt.
