In his speech at the Moscow City Duma meeting, the mayor emphasized that the skills of video game enthusiasts could be useful for unmanned troops, which is important for achieving victory. "We want gamers to remember that their skills can be applied in the military sphere," he noted, as reported by TASS.
Sobyanin also pointed out the successes of Muscovites in esports tournaments, where they often take high places, and noted that the city's residents are generally actively engaged in video games.
He added that some young people are already signing contracts with the Ministry of Defense and forming specialized units, and that those interested can expect special privileges upon joining.
It should be noted that in November, the Ministry of Defense of Russia completed the formation of unmanned systems troops.
And in February 2024, a new type of troops was formed within the Armed Forces of Ukraine — the Unmanned Systems Forces.
