Kazakhstan has initiated the creation of communication channels with neighboring countries in connection with incidents involving drones. This was reported by Defense Minister Dauren Kosanov in the corridors of the Senate, according to Kazinform.
Kosanov noted: “We have taken preventive measures, including the establishment of mobile air defense groups. Helicopters and fighters are on combat duty, and operational communications have been established with neighboring states.”
In response to journalists' questions about the origin of the fallen drones, the minister stated that they “come from those countries where military conflicts are taking place,” adding that this is related to “the operation of electronic warfare systems.”
He also emphasized that similar incidents occur in other countries, including Poland, Moldova, Hungary, and the Baltic states, where drones also fall. “We continue to work in this direction,” Kosanov added.
Recall that at the end of October this year, an explosion of a drone of unknown origin, which was carrying a combat charge, occurred near the village of Kyzyltal in the West Kazakhstan region. As a result of the incident, the Ministry of Defense has strengthened control over the country's airspace. Previously, cases of fallen drones without combat charges were also recorded in western Kazakhstan.
