Turkish Airlines canceled more than 60 flights due to snowfall

On Wednesday, December 31, more than 60 flights of Turkish Airlines were canceled due to heavy snowfall affecting several regions of the country. This was reported by the official representative of the company, Yahya Ustun, as conveyed by RIA Novosti.

Ustun noted in his post on the social network X that "61 flights were canceled due to deteriorating weather conditions in the eastern and central parts of Turkey."

Since Friday, significant areas of Turkey have faced frosts caused by cold air masses from Russia and Iceland. The Turkish General Directorate of Meteorology has declared a yellow level of danger for most regions of the country due to heavy snowfall.
