U.S. Special Envoy Gore: Ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is one of Washington's priorities

Gore emphasized that for the U.S., it is important not only to end the conflict but also to establish cooperation with regions that can benefit from it. “We see enormous opportunities for partnership and collaboration with these countries. That is why the president invited them to the White House,” he added.

He also noted that achieving success in this process requires the engagement of all parties, as all participants will benefit from the cessation of the conflict. Since his appointment, the president has been actively involved in resolving various conflicts around the world, including situations in Africa, Cambodia, and the Gaza Strip. “He takes this very seriously and is committed to establishing peace,” Gore emphasized.

The special envoy noted that ending the financing of conflicts is an important step towards peace: “We are very interested in ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. This is a priority for the United States, and the president is doing everything possible to achieve this.” He added that measures aimed at stopping hostilities have been discussed many times in the Oval Office.

According to Gore, other leaders could have long abandoned attempts to achieve peace, but the current situation requires persistence: “This war should not have happened. If the president had been in power a few years ago, it would not have started,” he stated. Now, having inherited this difficult situation, the American leader is doing everything possible to achieve stability in the region. “I think everyone agrees that supporting peace should be our common goal,” Gore concluded.
