An unusual incident occurred in a Chinese village on January 24 in the Tongjiang County, located in Sichuan Province. A local farmer decided to use a drone to transport pigs to the slaughterhouse when one of the animals got caught on a high-voltage power line, leading to an accident, reports the South China Morning Post.

In the morning, the farmer launched the drone to transport the pigs from the mountainous area; however, during the first flight, the cable holding the animal got tangled in the power line, leaving the pig "hanging" in the air.

As a result of this incident, the village was left without electricity for nearly ten hours. To address the aftermath, the energy company had to involve 12 employees. The estimated cost of the restoration work was around 10,000 yuan (approximately $1,400). Full restoration of the power supply occurred only by 5:00 PM that same day.

The police are investigating the case, having established that the farmer may have violated laws, as the drone was used in a no-fly zone and was overloaded. If his guilt is proven, he could face administrative penalties and be required to compensate for the damages.

This case quickly went viral on Chinese social media, where users joke that the pig "became famous before its death" and is now a true "flying legend."
