The Mongolian has retained the title of Asian champion

At the Asian Championship, Narantuyaa Bayarsaikhan was honored with the title of two-time continental champion, adding a third medal to her collection. This information was reported by MiddleAsianNews.

The competitions took place in Doha, Qatar, from January 31 to February 6, 2026.

Narantuyaa Bayarsaikhan, a renowned Mongolian athlete in snooker, demonstrated outstanding results at the 2026 Asian Championship, winning gold and becoming a two-time champion.


In the morning final on February 6 in Doha, Narantuyaa Bayarsaikhan, the reigning champion, returned to the table, aiming to defend her title, which she won the previous year.

Her opponent was Indian athlete Keerthana Pandian, who put up a worthy resistance, maintaining tension at the beginning of the match. The opening frame was highly competitive, and Narantuyaa managed to win by a narrow margin of two points. She confidently took the lead in the second frame, making an excellent break of 40 points, increasing the score to 2:0.

Keerthana did not give up and won the third frame, thus keeping her chances of victory alive. However, in the fourth frame, Narantuyaa showcased her skill, winning decisively with a score of 57–06 and successfully defending her title. The bronze medals in the women's category were shared between Yee Ki Ho from Hong Kong (China) and Anupama Ramachandran from India.

The 2026 Asian Snooker Championship, held at the QBSF academy in Doha, concluded, and on February 6, the champion in the women's category was determined.
