ERMÜÜNZAAYA Bayanmunkh from Arkhangai aimag has achieved outstanding success, becoming a three-time world champion among girls.

From October 24 to November 1, 2025, the World Championship in checkers for juniors and youth will take place in Antalya (Turkey). A total of 244 athletes from 17 countries will participate in the competition, including 34 representatives from Mongolia in five age categories for boys and girls.

In the boys' category aged 9-10 years (Hopes Boys Open B10), the gold medal was won by ARVIN-ERDENE Erdenetsogt, representing the "Ireedui" checkers academy. Additionally, ERMÜÜNZAAYA Bayanmunkh, representing her aimag, completed her match one game earlier than her opponents and thus became a three-time world champion among girls aged 9-10 years (Hopes Girls G10). This achievement is particularly significant for Ermuunzaayaa, as she is the first Mongolian checkers player to win the world champion title twice in the standard category. Moreover, she also secured victories in blitz and rapid formats, winning two gold medals in blitz and one in rapid.
