
From January 29 to February 1, two ice climbing competitions were held at the Malbun ski resort in Liechtenstein — the youth world championship according to the UIAA version. Details are provided by MiddleAsianNews.
At the youth ice climbing world championship held this past weekend in Liechtenstein, the Mongolian team earned recognition by winning an award in the "speed" category among girls. These competitions provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the abilities of young athletes.
Gold medals were contested among athletes from seven countries: USA (2), Switzerland (4), Spain (2), Mongolia (1), United Kingdom (1), Czech Republic (1), and Liechtenstein (1). This event, taking place in picturesque winter conditions, was organized with the support of the Liechtenstein Alpine Club, which is a member of the UIAA. Malbun has previously hosted UIAA competitions, including the European Cup in 2022.
In the U16 age category, the bronze medal was won by ENKHIRY-ERDENE Batchuluun in the speed competition.

PUREVSUREN Munkhbayar won the bronze medal in the speed competition in the U18 age category.

Janbota won the gold medal in the speed competition in the U20 age category.
