Acting President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, officially assumed her duties, as reported by TASS. The ceremony took place in the parliament building, chaired by Jorge Rodriguez.
At the event, Delcy Rodriguez stated: “I am here as the vice president of the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, to take the oath. This decision comes to me with pain, considering the suffering that the Venezuelan people have endured due to the illegal military aggression against our country.” The ceremony was broadcast on the Telesur channel.
Let us remind you that on January 3, the United States conducted an operation against Venezuela, resulting in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife in Caracas.
