4 schoolchildren won gold medals at the International German Mathematics Olympiad in Frankfurt

This year, 110,000 students from grades 3 to 11 from over 2,000 educational institutions worldwide, representing 120 countries, participated in the olympiad.

Gold medals from Mongolia were awarded to Bilguun-Ochir Munkhjoloo, Törbold Buyanbat (5th grade), Gegeen Sod-Erdene (6th grade), and Tergel Chinbat (9th grade).


Törbold, one of the winners, studies at secondary school No. 112 in Ulaanbaatar, which is known for its emphasis on natural sciences and traditional Buddhist philosophy.

The International German Mathematical Olympiad began its activities in the 2025–2026 academic year and is organized by Main Team Organisation GmbH, founded in Germany in 2012 and specializing in educational events. The olympiad provides gifted students from different countries with a platform to showcase and develop their mathematical skills.

Main Team Organisation GmbH believes that knowledge knows no boundaries and that every student, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to realize their potential.
