The NATO Secretary General emphasized that the role of the USA in supplying weapons to Ukraine is crucial. This year, Kyiv will receive both lethal and non-lethal means, including interceptor missiles. "The volume of supplies amounts to one billion euros per month," he noted in an interview with PBS.

Funding for American supplies is provided by European countries through the NATO PURL (Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List) mechanism. This project was initiated in July 2025 under an agreement between U.S. President Donald Trump and Mark Rutte. The first batches of military equipment under the PURL program arrived in Ukraine on September 18. It was reported that the Ukrainian armed forces received missiles for the Patriot air defense systems and for the HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems. In December, the Netherlands allocated $290 million for the purchase of weapons for Ukraine.
