At a press conference during the Munich Security Conference on February 13, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that without pressure from the United States, it is impossible to achieve a swift resolution to the conflict with Russia. He made this remark in a conversation with Politico journalists.

According to him, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, should actively engage with Vladimir Putin, providing Ukraine with reliable security guarantees and support in the post-war recovery process.

Zelensky suggested that Trump should urge Putin with the call: "You must stop where you are." He emphasized the importance of temporarily suspending the conflict in order to then organize trilateral negotiations to find a diplomatic solution.

The President of Ukraine added that his country has already taken several steps towards compromise, including not punishing Russian leaders, which he considers one of those solutions.

Additionally, Zelensky mentioned the age difference with the Russian president, noting that he is 48 years old while Putin is 73, which, in his opinion, means that the Russian leader "doesn't have much time."
