The founder of Garden Catering Trade, according to the Unified State Register as of February 25, is Muydinjhon Abdumuminovich Gofurov. The day before, on February 24, this role was held by Ikboljon Habibulloevich Bozorov, who is also the khokim of the Fergana region.
Gofurov owns shares in several companies, such as Grand Super Montaj (residential building construction), Space Travel Rides Park (amusement park rides), Modern Builder Development (real estate), Valley Ceramics Group (ceramics production), and Prime Axis Construction Group (various manufacturing).
Shavkat Minavarovich Turdaliev, the director of the company, is also the founder of many other enterprises, including Yangiqo’rg’on Fayz Qurilish and Delight Sale.
On February 21, 62 children from kindergartens No. 2, 58, and 61 in the city of Fergana were hospitalized with a diagnosis of "acute diarrhea," which manifested as abdominal pain, fever, and other symptoms of poisoning. Three of them were in intensive care, but their condition was assessed as stable.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 257-1 of the Criminal Code, concerning violations of sanitary standards.
According to "Gazeta," the choice of Garden Catering Trade as a supplier was made in violation of public procurement legislation. The anti-corruption agency reported that a warning regarding this issue was ignored, and the company was given illegal advantages in tenders.
Initially, Garden Catering Trade was registered as a joint venture between Ikboljon Bozorov and Yildirım Adem. However, soon the company lost this status, and until February 25, all shares belonged to Bozorov.
In 2024, just a month after its establishment, the company was granted the right to supply kindergartens in the Fergana region by the decision of khokim Khayrulla Bozorov. An inspection by the Ministry of Education conducted the same year revealed numerous violations, including non-compliance of food with sanitary standards and lack of laboratory control.
The Competition Protection Committee sent a directive to annul the khokim's decision, but it was not executed.
Despite the identified violations, the company continued its operations and signed contracts worth over 100 billion soums without conducting a tender.
It is also worth noting that in September 2025, over 1,000 children from state kindergartens were hospitalized with poisoning symptoms in various districts of the Tashkent region. These kindergartens were serviced by three outsourcing companies that purchased products from the Akurgan-based manufacturer Shark Milk Product. The results of that investigation have not yet been reported by the authorities.
