Since the beginning of March, there has been an increase in wholesale prices for automotive fuel in the country.
According to the Wroom.ru portal, an analysis of data from the St. Petersburg Exchange showed that from February 27 to March 11, gasoline prices increased by 6-7%, while diesel fuel rose by 12%.
As of March 11, 2026, wholesale prices per ton of fuel (compared to February 27, 2026) were:
- AI-92 gasoline — 62,943 rubles (+6.2%)
- AI-95 gasoline — 66,876 rubles (+6.7%)
- Seasonal diesel fuel — 61,526 rubles (+12.2%)
Experts link the rise in fuel prices to the increase in global oil prices, which is related to conflicts in the Middle East. It is expected that further increases in wholesale prices for gasoline and diesel will be reflected in fuel prices at gas stations.
In the second half of last year, several regions of Russia experienced disruptions in fuel supplies; however, these issues were gradually resolved.
