He also noted that the cost of conducting combat operations in Iran is likely more than $1.5 billion per day. Currently, funds that were previously approved by Congress for the needs of the Pentagon are being used. A request for additional funding from the White House has not yet been submitted.
According to information from The Washington Post, in the first two days of the conflict with Iran, the Pentagon spent $5.6 billion on munitions. It was also reported that the Trump administration plans to approach Congress soon with a request for "tens of billions of dollars" to support the military operation.
