
During the conversation, the presidents exchanged congratulations on the holidays of Oraza Ait and Nauryz. Erdogan congratulated Tokayev on the successful conduct of the referendum and the adoption of the new Constitution of Kazakhstan.
The President of Turkey noted that Kazakhstan's achievements were made possible thanks to Tokayev's wise policy. He expressed confidence that the new Constitution will give a strong impetus to the further development of the country and strengthen its positions both domestically and internationally.
Tokayev, in turn, thanked the Turkish observers for their support and participation in the referendum, which underscores the fraternal relations between the two countries. Erdogan also emphasized the importance of the upcoming state visit to Kazakhstan, scheduled for May 14, during which a meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council and an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States will take place.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev agreed that the upcoming negotiations in Astana play a key role in deepening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkey. He also expressed hope for the successful conduct of the summit of Turkic-speaking countries in Turkestan, adding that the Kazakh people will warmly welcome the President of Turkey. Erdogan invited Tokayev to participate in the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya in April, to which Tokayev responded positively.
