Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Donald Trump continue to develop a trusting relationship, and a new meeting is expected in the coming days. This was stated by Julie Staaf, the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan.

During her recent conversation with Tokayev, she noted that key aspects of further strengthening bilateral ties between Kazakhstan and the United States were discussed.

“I am confident in President Trump's full support and sincerely interested in deepening our cooperation, considering the interests of both leaders,” the ambassador emphasized. She also added that Tokayev recently visited Washington and plans to travel to the U.S. again in the near future.

Staaf noted that it is a great honor for her to represent the United States in Kazakhstan. She reminded that the U.S. was the first country to recognize Kazakhstan's independence and pointed out the record level of partnership between the two countries to date.

“In addition to official activities, my family and I look forward to getting to know this wonderful country and its people better, as well as experiencing the culture and everyday life of Kazakhstan,” she added.

According to the ambassador, Kazakhstan and the U.S. actively cooperate in the fields of culture, economy, and trade, and the American side intends to continue expanding this cooperation in all areas.
