During the investigation, it was found that Barsbek Batyraliev, the owner of a YouTube channel, was conducting a lottery without the appropriate permission from government authorities. He was collecting money under the pretext of a prize draw.
After the intervention of the State Financial Supervision Agency in conjunction with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan in Russia, the organizer of the illegal lottery was detained. He was provided with explanatory work, during which he committed to return the money to participants by October 31 and cease his illegal activities.
However, it soon became known that new videos announcing draws were still being released on Batyraliev's second account. The State Financial Supervision Agency continues to verify this information in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Representatives of the State Financial Supervision Agency urge citizens not to participate in online lotteries without official permission and to report such cases.
