As her son recounted, his mother commutes to work during the dark hours, starting her workday at 07:30. She did not notice the hole in the sidewalk, as there were no barriers or warning signs around, and, moreover, there was a lack of lighting.
“She fell into this hole, and it was only thanks to passersby who heard her screams that an ambulance was called for her,” he noted.
As a result of the fall, the woman was hospitalized with fractures.
Who will take responsibility for this incident? The city administration? The contractors? Who allowed violations during the excavation work?
