The incident occurred on February 3, when a 17-year-old young man was attacked around half past midnight on Kuliyev Street, and his mobile phone was taken from him. The brother of the victim reported the incident to the police on February 21, after which information about the crime was registered under Article 206 ("Robbery") of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
The law enforcement authorities were able to identify and detain the suspect, who turned out to be R.D., born in 1998 and with a prior criminal record.
An investigation is currently underway.
