At the prestigious PWL-10 tournament, which gathered the strongest wrestlers from around the world, Kyrgyz athletes were unable to achieve success.

Abdumalik Karachev, representing Kyrgyzstan, faced off against Russian wrestler Abubakar Mutaliev in the 57 kg weight category. The match took place in a tense atmosphere; however, the opponent's experience proved decisive. Karachev finished the bout with a score of 5:10 in favor of Mutaliev.

Another representative of the country was Akjol Mahmudov, an Olympic silver medalist and world champion, who competed in the 82 kg category. In his match against Bulgarian wrestler Aik Mnatsakanian, known for his outstanding achievements, the Kyrgyz athlete was unable to impose his tactics, and Mnatsakanian claimed victory.

The Poddubny tournament, held in honor of the legendary wrestler Ivan Poddubny, traditionally attracts the best athletes in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling. In this milestone tenth edition of the competition, wrestlers from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, Iran, Kazakhstan, and other countries participated.

Despite the disappointing results, the participation of Kyrgyz wrestlers in the tournament provided them with an opportunity to gain invaluable international experience, which will be beneficial in the lead-up to continental tournaments and qualifications for the 2028 Olympic Games.
