The tire recycling plant located in Tokmok and a subsidiary of CJSC "Kumtor Gold Company" has received a license for waste disposal. This information was reported by company representatives.
The license, issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, allows the plant to provide paid services for the disposal of car tires. This step will significantly improve the environmental situation in the region.
Now the plant will be able to process up to 10,000 tons of tires per year, regardless of their type and size, turning them into rubber crumb. The resulting material will be used to produce rubber bands, tiles, and safe surfaces for children's and sports playgrounds.
This initiative represents a significant contribution to the fight against toxic rubber waste in the country. Old tires will no longer remain in landfills or be burned, which negatively affected air quality. Instead, they will be recycled, benefiting society and the environment.
Large tires from construction, agricultural, and quarry equipment can also be submitted for recycling at the plant. This will allow industrial enterprises, transport, and mining companies to contribute to environmental protection and save on disposal fees.
Additionally, the plant in Tokmok has a workshop for the restoration of car tires. Currently, restored large tires are being used on Caterpillar 789C dump trucks and are undergoing testing at the "Kumtor" mine.
