“The probation authority provides social assistance to citizens under supervision and conducts activities for their resocialization,” she noted.
In the past 10 months of 2025, 4 people found jobs, 2 received assistance in obtaining passports, and 12 low-income families were provided with food worth about 40,000 soms. Additionally, 9 clients received legal assistance, 62 received medical assistance, and one person suffering from diabetes was recognized as a second-group disabled person and began receiving benefits.
Moreover, those engaged in community service work for the benefit of society in their rural areas according to the hours specified in court decisions. Since the beginning of the year, 48 people have been assigned to such work, of which 43 completed it, while for 5 individuals, the court changed the punishment, placing them under arrest for 3 and 5 days,” Ömürkanova added.
The leading specialist of the probation authority in the Kochkor district, Myskал Niyazbek kyzy, noted that preventive work is being carried out to prevent crimes in cooperation with local self-government bodies and district police inspectors of the Kochkor ROVD.
“We also organize events for legal and social assistance to probation clients. Currently, one of the citizens under supervision has undergone training and correction under a special methodological program,” she said.
It is important to note that the probation authority was established in accordance with the law of February 24, 2017, No. 34 “On Probation.”
Probation is a socio-legal institution that uses a set of measures of state coercion and public influence aimed at involving clients in individual social and legal programs. These programs are focused on correcting clients' behavior, preventing offenses, as well as providing social assistance and facilitating their resocialization,” Niyazbek kyzy added.
