On December 2, the 7th meeting of ministers and representatives of institutions responsible for diaspora issues of the CIS participating countries took place in Budapest. This information was announced by the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the event, Kyrgyzstan was represented by Deputy Minister Bakyt Darmankul uulu, who opened the meeting with a welcoming speech.

In his speech, he emphasized the importance of diasporas for strengthening humanitarian, cultural, and socio-economic ties between Turkic peoples, particularly noting the contribution of the Kyrgyz diaspora, which spans over 20 countries.

“This meeting is not just a formal gathering. It is a discussion about those people who, being far from their homeland, preserve their language, culture, and traditions. Diasporas represent bridges between countries, acting as voluntary ambassadors of their cultures. They not only maintain their roots but also make significant contributions to the development of the countries where they live, while keeping a connection with their historical homeland,” the deputy minister noted.

He also added that Kyrgyzstan is open to deepening partnership relations, exchanging experiences, and improving coordination with relevant institutions, and is ready to actively participate in the implementation of decisions made within the framework of the CIS to strengthen Turkic solidarity.

The program of the meeting also included cultural events and bilateral meetings that contributed to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding among the states within the organization.
