“At first, the road was cleared and open for traffic. However, after 2–3 hours, a strong wind picked up, which again covered the route with snow. As a result, large snowdrifts formed on the road from the side of Jany-Alysh and Podgornoye, making passage impossible. One KamAZ truck got stuck in this area,” eyewitnesses reported.
Since people did not want to stay in their cars in the cold, they walked through the field and reached an open section of the road.
This section of the roads was supposed to be serviced by road maintenance enterprise No. 34. However, unable to cope with the task, they did not manage to clear the route, and local residents contacted the Orlovka city administration. In response, the administration promptly sent workers from the municipal enterprise “Orlovskoye City Housing and Utilities” to provide assistance, as stated in the report.
The municipal enterprise “Orlovskoye City Housing and Utilities” noted: “These roads are under the jurisdiction of road maintenance enterprise No. 34, but they are not managing the work. Therefore, we decided to intervene, and the road clearing is now almost complete.”
