According to the road service information, the clearing of the road was conducted on the section from 26 to 31 kilometers. In some places, the snow cover thickness reached 30–40 centimeters, and in conditions of snow drifts — up to 50–60 centimeters.
After the work of the road machinery, traffic on the highway was fully restored. It is also noted that the problems with passage towards the village of Zelyony Gai have been resolved.
Road service specialists continue to work around the clock, clearing other roads in the area.
In the village of Zelyony Gai, located in the Jeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region, schoolchildren cannot reach school due to the road being blocked by snow.
Urmata Dokoev, the head of the village council of the Jeti-Oguz rural area, confirmed the information about the difficulties faced by schoolchildren due to adverse weather conditions.
According to him, about 100 people live in the village of Zelyony Gai, of which more than 25 children travel daily to study in the village of Lipenka. The distance between the settlements is 11 kilometers, and the schoolchildren are transported by a special bus.
