The detainee fraudulently obtained a large sum of money
A girl suspected of committing fraud for a significant amount was detained by the employees of the Internal Affairs Department of the First May District. According to the press service of the Bishkek City Police Department, her name has not yet been disclosed.
According to law enforcement officials, a citizen named O.G. reported that from May to the end of October 2025, a certain A., who introduced herself as a healer, managed to take her money by promising assistance in business and conducting rituals. As a result, the victim lost 43 thousand US dollars, after which the fraudster disappeared.
In connection with this, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to fraud.
During operational search activities, the police were able to identify the suspect, who turned out to be a girl named M.K., born in 2000. She was detained and taken to the Investigative Service of the Internal Affairs Department, and then placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“The investigation revealed that the detainee, posing as a healer, gained the trust of people through deception, promising to solve their problems in business, personal life, and other areas for monetary compensation. During her rituals, she demanded that money be left at cemeteries and used various items such as threads and needles,” the statement noted.
