The V International Opera Art Festival Dedicated to the 85th Anniversary of Bolot Minzhilkiev Has Kicked Off in Bishkek

The V International Opera Art Festival was opened in Bishkek, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the outstanding opera singer and People's Artist of the USSR Bulat Minzhilkiyev. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture.

The solemn event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy Timurlan Azhymaliev, as well as representatives of the cultural sphere, foreign guests, and relatives of the late artist.

During the anniversary celebration, special emphasis was placed on the significance of the artist for the development of Kyrgyz and world opera art. Participants highly appreciated his velvet voice, vocal abilities, and pedagogical activities. Particular attention was given to the characters created by Bolot Minzhilkiyev, such as Konurbay, Boris Godunov, Mephistopheles, and Kutuzov.

This year's anniversary festival attracted renowned opera soloists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The main goal of the event is to unite Kyrgyzstan with the world of opera art, as well as to strengthen creative collaboration and cultural ties.
