In this appeal, it is emphasized that the Kadamjai Antimony Plant is one of the oldest enterprises in the mining and metallurgy sector of the country, and for 89 years it has significantly contributed to the economy of Kyrgyzstan by producing goods that are in demand in the international market.
After the Kazakh investor ceased operations, the plant was declared bankrupt, which led to serious consequences: there were debts in salaries and pension payments, production capacities were idle, and infrastructure deteriorated.
The appeal mentions that in November 2020, Sherali Osmanov was appointed as the special administrator. Under his leadership, the bankruptcy process was changed from liquidation to restructuring, which allowed for the partial restoration of production, the initiation of salary debt payments, and pension regress payments, as well as the preservation of the plant's main assets.
Additionally, it is noted that during the bankruptcy period, it was possible to return previously alienated property, including the administration building and the management park. Workers assure that the plant is ready for launch and capable of fulfilling production tasks.
The employees of the plant express concern over the possibility of removing Sherali Osmanov from his position at the final stage of recovery, emphasizing that this could threaten the successes achieved.
The authors of the appeal request to retain the current special administrator until the complete conclusion of all procedures and express their readiness to work with full dedication to ensure the stable operation of the plant.
