Attending the event were municipal leaders, heads of various institutions and enterprises, as well as employees of the plant. Traditionally, before the opening ceremony, there were small stage performances and performances by pop artists.
The head of the municipality, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, noted that city enterprises should move away from being subsidized. "Previously, it became a habit for us: 'We are subsidized, we cannot earn money, the mayor's office must finance us until the end.' No, on the contrary, we can earn and work independently. Right now, we are building a greenhouse, where good specialists work and grow flowers. These flowers can be sold and generate income. This year, we started work early, and to date, we have planted almost 6,500 seedlings. Of these, 4,000 are plane trees, 1,500 are ash trees, and 1,000 are paulownias," he said.
According to the municipality, the total area of the plant's building is 7,304 square meters, with a construction volume of 4,096 square meters. Inside, there are administrative offices, utility rooms, a water reservoir, a cafeteria, a warehouse, a car wash, showers, parking spaces, and canopies for vehicles — all necessary conditions have been created.
According to the capital construction department of the Osh city mayor's office, the old building of the plant had become unusable, which is why the decision was made to build a new one. The tender was won by LLC "AYUB," with which a contract was signed for the amount of 87,540,683 soms [over 1 million dollars at the current exchange rate of the NBKR].
At the end of the event, the mayor presented the head of the enterprise with an official vehicle.
Currently, the "Greening and Improvement" plant still remains subsidized. It was previously reported that in 2025, the mayor's office will allocate 220,036,000 soms to the enterprise.
