In 2025, there is a significant increase in the number of tourists in the Osh region compared to previous years. While 155,900 people visited the region in 2024, this number has already exceeded 300,000 in the first 11 months of 2025.
Representatives of the presidential representative office noted that there is active development of domestic tourism, as well as an increase in the flow of travelers from neighboring countries. This positive trend has been facilitated by major cultural and tourism events, festivals, and celebrations organized in honor of historical events. In particular, the international festival "Salam, Osh" and events dedicated to the 225th anniversary of Alymbek Datka have significantly increased tourist interest.
Currently, efforts to develop the tourism sector in the region are ongoing. Work is being done to improve infrastructure for tourists, restore cultural and historical sites, and establish cooperation with local tour operators and entrepreneurs, which also contributes to promoting the tourism potential of the region.
