In Bishkek, 2 million soms were allocated for decorating the New Year tree in Ala-Too Square. These funds were used to purchase new ornaments and garlands, which replaced the broken elements. This was reported by Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva at one of the sessions of the Bishkek City Council.

Mozgacheva noted that the decoration of the festive area was fully entrusted to the company "Northern Lights." They are working according to the provided sketches and under the guidance of the city authorities.

“From our side, assistance is only provided in decorating the central fountain area by the municipal enterprise 'Bishkeksvet.' In addition, the company covers all expenses related to the installation of the decorations, as well as utility payments for municipal enterprises such as 'Tazalyk,' 'Bishkekvodokanal,' and 'Bishkeksvet,'” the deputy mayor clarified.

She also added that commercial banks did not participate in financing the decoration of the square for the New Year.

The ceremony for the official lighting of the main tree in the capital took place on December 15.
