
Malik Shavaev, who has become a new member of the Kyrgyzstan national team in freestyle wrestling, was born on June 21, 1996, and represents the Spartak sports club from Nalchik. At the recent national championship, he won a gold medal in the weight category up to 86 kg, achieving four consecutive victories starting from the round of 16. Shavaev already has two titles of champion of Russia in the weight category up to 79 kg, won in 2021 and 2022, and he also became a finalist in the 2024 Russian championship, where he lost to Ibrahim Kadiyev from Dagestan.
