The mayor's office of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, has denied rumors circulating on social media that the nursing home on Abay Street will be relocated outside the city and that its territory will allegedly be handed over to developers.

As reported by representatives of the mayor's office to AKIpress, the institution "Үмүт үйү," which provides services to elderly people and individuals with disabilities, is municipal and funded from the local budget. It will continue its operations as usual.

The mayor's office emphasized: "The issue of transferring or handing over the land plot by the municipality is not being considered."

It is worth noting that earlier, a fire occurred in the palliative care ward of this nursing home, resulting in the deaths of two people.
